The 1973 Porsche 914 is a mid-engine sports car developed by Porsche in collaboration with Volkswagen. It has a distinct wedge-shaped body, a noticeable change from the more curvy designs of previous Porsche models. With a removable Targa top, the driver has the option for an open-air driving experience, which was a popular feature for sports cars of its era. Our 914 is a classic roadster which also has more storage space than you might expect.
Our 1973 Porsche 914 has a 2-litre flat-four engine which, back in its day, made it a more capable vehicle compared to many of its competitors.
Initially seen as an entry-level model designed to bridge the gap between the Volkswagen and Porsche brands, the early reception of the 914 was mixed due to its Volkswagen components. However, over time, it gained respect and popularity due to its performance and unique styling which is why we love it so much.
The Porsche 914 was never officially produced in right-hand drive (RHD) by the factory. All 914s were made in left-hand drive (LHD), even for markets where RHD vehicles were typically the norm, such as the UK, Australia, and Japan. Our one remains unchanged and in its original LHD specification.
