Lightweight, agile and beautiful, presenting our 1957 MG A Roadster.
This MG A is finished in wonderful bright red with a beige convertible folding roof. Also supplied with the car is a white hardtop. The wonderfully aged red leather interior has been improved by our interior trim team who have rebound the carpets and re-trimmed panel edges.
Mechanically the Roadster is in fantastic condition, the 1500cc 4-cylinder engine sings and benefits from a Hi-Gear Engineering 5-speed gearbox for ease of use on modern roads. Whilst in with our workshops, our technicians have fully inspected the classic sports car giving it a mechanical clean bill of health. The odometer reads 7,777 miles, which is believed to be since its engine rebuild.
This particular 1957 MG A Roadster has been enjoyed and cared for by its previous owner since 2016, who continued the meticulous record keeping of the car’s previous keepers. The car has been entered into events such as the Monte Challenge in 2000 which it placed very respectably overall. In 2001, the car was entirely rebuilt and repainted, inspected by a marque specialist who noted the car was of ‘’original specification throughout’’ and with supporting paperwork all included with the car. In the folder are numerous MOT certificates along with parts invoices and sales invoices for the vehicle.
