Congratulations to Rory Lean, winner of our 1970 Ford Cortina MK2 1600 GT.
Rory opted to take a cash alternative instead of accepting delivery of our Cortina.
If there’s one classic car that triggers feelings of nostalgia more than most, it’s the Ford Cortina. Trying to find someone who hasn’t owned one, or at least known someone that has owned one in the past will likely be quite a challenge.
Our 1970 Ford Cortina MK2 1600 GT has only been owned by one family and comes with a wide range of medals and awards. Benefiting from restoration work in 2019, our MK2 Cortina still maintains all of the character it had when it first drove out of the factory.
The Ford Cortina was one of the most popular cars in the UK throughout the 1970s and into the early 1980s. To this day, it’s hard for many people to talk about their experiences with these classic cars without having a big smile on their face.
Driving our 1970 Ford Cortina MK2 1600 GT will bring back memories of past road trips, memories of former driving experiences, and the anticipation of many more drives still to come. Even if you haven’t owned one before, the excitement this car generates simply by being around it truly is what classic cars are all about.
