Our 1991 Maserati Bi-Turbo Spyder E is one of the later models and benefits from the fitment of a larger 2.8-litre dual turbocharged V6 engine. It’s a rare car with only 147 right-hand drive 2.8-litre versions like this being made. It has a four-speed automatic gearbox and, unlike many classic cars, it has electric-powered seats, air-conditioning, power-assisted steering, and the full Maserati enhancement kit. Our Maserati is being given a full service from the Bridge Classic Cars technicians whilst in our care.
Back at the beginning of its life on the road, it resided in Manchester before eventually being moved to the Isle of Mann with its most recent owner. 5 people have had the privilege of owning this stunning car and, between them, covered 54000 miles.
This is a V6-powered high-performance sports saloon. It was a very fast car for its time with a 0-60 time of a little over 7 seconds. For a car of this age, it certainly feels very fast to drive and gives a true sports car experience.
Our 1991 Maserati Bi-Turbo Spyder E comes with an extensive history file including the original stamped service book, the owner’s manual, a range of Isle of Mann tax discs, and the Isle of Mann registration document.
This rare and elegant modern classic is styled by the legendary coachbuilder, Zagato and is finished in Maserati red with a cream leather interior.
While this car is beautiful to look at, the story of how it came to be with us at Bridge Classic Cars is even more important. This was one of the late Robert Furniss Riding’s car collection that was left to charity after his death in May this year. As a result of the sale of his cars (including this one), a huge amount of money was left to the RNLI in Robert’s name. We are extremely proud to have this car and its story makes it an even bigger prize than you might think.
