2003 Vauxhall VX220

Congratulations to Ian Spellman, winner of the 2003 Vauxhall VX220.

Winner: Ian Spellman
Ticket No: 4851

The Live Draw for this competition was held on Thursday September 23rd 2021.

The Vauxhall VX220.

Manual transmission, rear wheel drive, 875kg, and a 0-60 time of just 5.6 seconds… The VX220 delivers the purest of driving experiences.

Sister to the Lotus Elise, the VX 220 was given a larger 2.2L engine, anti-lock brakes, and a driver’s airbag as standard. A very rare sight, there are only a few hundred VX200’s registered on the road.

1 of only 7 cars finished in the iconic British Racing Green. The car’s first owner kept the car from 2003 to 2018, it was then owned by the Managing Director of Vauxhall Motors before coming to Bridge Classic Cars for us to sell. After four years of ownership, the most recent keeper has sold the vehicle back to us for it to be a competition car.

The car comes with impressive service history from new as well as a Vauxhall Motors literature packs.

In 2019 the interior has been subject to a full Premium Scottish Leather re-trim, new fabric roof, new door pockets and new lumbar pump costing £1590.00. A new starter motor and after-market heater kit have also been fitted £1079.46. New instrument binnacle, switchgear, steering wheel at a cost of £235.08. Brand new alternator, front discs and pads [Brembo], rear discs and pads [Brembo], battery, engine mounts, seat foams, stabilizer shaft, front and rear shock absorbers [Spax], battery isolation switch at a total cost of £4258.68.

Enthusiast owned and maintained, this is a fabulous example of a brilliant driver-focused vehicle. Very few cars are quite as exhilarating as our go-kart for the road VX220.
