There were only 2666 tickets available on our 1979 Ford Escort RS2000.
Right now, the RS2000’s are one of the most desirable and sought after classics on the planet!
Whether its the amazing memories it brings back or the chance to relive your youth, this is THE car to get your hands on. Values on ‘Fast Ford’s’ are skyrocketing! A low mileage MKII Escort RS2000, like ours, also finished in Diamond White, recently sold at Silverstone Auctions for £97,000!
Discovered locked away in a garage, Bridge Classic Cars acquired the car from the son of the previous owner. Since being with us we have given the car a full respray and treated her to a brand new vinyl roof and new decals.
Launched in January 1976 the MKII RS2000 was based on the two door MKII Escort. Our 1979 Diamond white Ford Escort RS2000 is powered by the 2 litre in-line four SOHC engine. It’s clear to see why the RS2000 has become such a desirable classic, with four spoke alloy wheels as standard and a stylish black double side pinstripe, the styling on these cars is just gorgeous.
In September 1978, Ford introduced the RS2000 ‘Custom’ which came fitted with ‘Fishnet’ Recaro seats, full door cards, clock and pod, centre console, 6Jx13″ alloys, boot carpet, remote driver’s door mirror and a black panel around the rear lights.
The interior of our RS2000 is outstanding, the Recaro ‘Fishnet’ seats have been kept in beautiful condition. Our Escort RS2000 also benefits from having a very rare sunroof option.
There is nothing quite like the drive and comfort of an RS2000. Every journey from start to finish is simply a pleasure.
This has been one of our most requested competition cars!
As I’m sure you all know by now, Bridge Classic Cars’ source the very best examples we can find, and this RS2000 is no exception! The winner of this stunning classic, Mike was absolutely blown away!
Congratulations to Mike Hill, winner with ticket number 1676.
